About
The owner shows up.
If you book the job, the person who quoted it is the person on the property.
The name is the method.
I started Softy Softwash because the Lowcountry eats exteriors and most “pressure washing” quotes treat a stucco wall the same as a driveway. Licensed. Insured. The owner is the estimator and the technician.
Soft on the house. Tough on the grime. Honest on the quote. That is the whole model until the book is full enough to need another set of hands.
Sister work: permanent lighting through Everline Lights. Soft wash stays its own company and its own calendar.
Questions I actually get
What is soft washing and how is it different from pressure washing?
Soft washing is low pressure plus a mix that kills organic growth. Pressure washing is high-pressure water that blasts a surface. Houses and roofs get soft washed. Concrete gets pressure or surface cleaned. Using the wrong one is how siding gets scarred and roofs lose granules.
Are your products safe for landscaping?
I pre-wet plants, use the right mix for the surface, and rinse landscaping when the job calls for it. No responsible washer can promise that a leaf never yellows if it was already stressed in August, which is why I also tell you the truth about mid-summer work.
How often should I wash?
Most homes here: every 12–18 months. Roofs often on a longer cycle unless the north face is already streaked. Dryer vents: at least once a year, more if you have a long run or pets.
Do you quote from photos?
Most residential quotes start from the address, Google/Zillow square footage, and satellite. Complicated roofs, third stories, and commercial sites may need a look in person.
Do I need to be home?
Not for exterior-only work if water access and a gate code are settled. Yes for interior windows.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ask for the certificate if your HOA requires it.
What payment methods do you take?
Card, Apple Pay, cash, check, PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle.
Send the address. I’ll send a written estimate.
Most residential quotes start from satellite and listing data the same day. Complicated roofs, third stories, and commercial sites may need a look in person.
